The Yonex BG Aerobite badminton string is a hybrid string with two different gauge sizes. Never seen before with such a fine gauge (0.61mm on the crosses)!!
The 0.67 mm gauge is used for the mains (the red string in the set). The 0.61 mm gauge is used for the crosses (the white string in the set).

This "hybrid" concept allows you to "bite" your smashes better (they drop closer to the net) and gives you optimum precision for touch shots.
The 0.67mm gauge is placed in the mains because it is often the mains string that breaks when off-centre hits occur.
With a thicker gauge in the mains, you get a great compromise between durability and feel thanks to this new concept.
This string requires mandatory 4-knot stringing.
