The Carlton Powerpulse x63 string is a very fine high-performance badminton string, specifically designed for players seeking maximum repulsion power and excellent responsiveness upon impact.
Ultra-fine gauge (0.63 mm): This fineness reduces air resistance and significantly increases shuttlecock repulsion, offering an impressive racket exit speed and a sharp, impactful hitting sound (hitting sound).
Designed from a synthetic multifilament core with Japanese technology, wrapped in a cylindrical external braid. This construction optimises shuttlecock feel and the precision of technical shots (drop shots, counter drop shots).
Playing profile: It is mainly aimed at offensive players or competitors who prioritise dynamism, flat game speed, and explosive power on smashes.
As with all ultra-fine strings, the downside of a 0.63 mm gauge is its relative fragility. Durability is lower than that of thicker gauges from the same brand, such as the Powerpulse x66 (0.66 mm) or the Powerpulse x68 (0.68 mm). It is therefore recommended not to over-tension it unnecessarily if you break strings regularly.
