Description
The Venson VG042 is a premium dampening film or overgrip (Cushion Wrap). Made in Japan from high-quality polyurethane (PU), it acts as a technological barrier to completely eliminate racket vibrations.
Shock Absorbed dampening system : Its main function is to actively filter out harmful vibrations caused by the impact of the shuttlecock. This directly protects the player's wrist, elbow, and shoulder while enhancing joint comfort.
Economical format in reel or single piece : It comes as a large technical reel of 27 metres long and 70 mm wide. This width is much greater than normal grips (usually 25 mm) as it allows freely wrapping several layers on the bare wood to adjust the ideal custom handle thickness.
Targeted thickness (0.8 mm) : With a thickness of 0.8 mm, it is about 0.2 mm thicker than a classic dampening overgrip. This gives it superior elasticity and a very soft feel.
How to use the VG042?
- The professional method (The Cushion Wrap reel) : You remove the original grip to expose the bare wood. Then you wrap the VG042 directly onto the wood to create the desired thickness and dampening, before applying your usual overgrip (such as the VG002) on top.
- The classic method (The individual replacement strip) : Used directly as a thick and soft replacement grip thanks to its integrated internal adhesive strip.
