GRIP YONEX CUSHION WRAP AC381

Description

The Yonex Cushion Wrap AC381 is neither a classic grip nor an overgrip, but an ultra-thin technical foam under-wrap. Placed directly on the bare wooden handle of the racket (after removing the original grip), it serves to precisely customise the thickness of the handle while absorbing vibrations.

Millimetre-precise size adjustment: If you find your racket handle too thin (for example an original G5 or G6 grip), simply wrap one or more layers of foam to reach the perfect diameter for your hand.
Shock & vibration absorption: The polyurethane foam significantly reduces the impact of heavy hits and unwanted vibrations, protecting your joints (wrist and elbow) from injuries such as tennis elbow.
Edge softening: It softens the sometimes too sharp edges of the bare wooden handle to provide a much more comfortable and smooth grip, without altering the playing feel.
No impact on weight

Thanks to its ultra-light design, it does not weigh down the racket or change its original balance (neutral, head-heavy or handle-heavy).

1. Prepare the handle: Completely remove the original grip from your racket to expose the bare wood (the preferred method by competitors to maintain control of thickness).
2. Apply the Cushion Wrap: Wrap the Yonex AC381 directly onto the wood. Use a single layer if you just want to dampen vibrations, or overlap several layers if you want to thicken the handle. Note: this foam has no sticky side; it holds by mechanical tension and natural adhesion to itself.
3. Add your overgrip: Apply your usual overgrip (such as the famous Yonex Super Grap AC102) directly over the foam to complete your setup.
