The Yonex ASTROX 77 badminton racket now comes in three different models, PRO, TOUR, and PLAY – each developed with the same performance concept but with variations in the performance materials used. It will be used by Tokyo Olympic gold medallist, Chen Yu Fei (CHN), the 2021 World Tour Finals champion, An Se Young (KOR), the 2022 World Championships mixed doubles winner, Huang Ya Qiong (CHN), and the 2022 Malaysia Masters champion, Fajar Alfian (INA).
The ASTROX 77 PLAY is designed with a softer shaft than the PRO and TOUR and a manoeuvrable, slightly heavy head that offers extra power for a wide range of players, from intermediate to advanced levels. This second generation brings improvements in the feel of the strike by enhancing shock absorption, and in power by improving balance and flexibility.
The ASTROX 77 features the Rotational Generator system which allows quick recovery for a continuous flow of powerful attacks. The racket incorporates Namd in the shaft, producing more flex and faster snapback.
The new ASTROX 77 is an even more advanced version of its predecessor, with new technologies for better performance and a 2.9% increase in smash power. The lower part of the frame is made from a new resin material, Flex Fuse, which combines a shock-absorbing material with the base resin for a softer feel on impact.
Power is multiplied thanks to an additional 10mm length extension which will increase your hitting power by 5% or more compared to a conventional racket.
