The World Badminton Federation (BWF) officially launched the practice of outdoor badminton, AirBadminton, in May 2019.
Using the same rackets but with a new outdoor shuttlecock, the AirShuttle, new opportunities have been created for people to play badminton on hard, grass, and sandy surfaces, in parks, gardens, streets, playgrounds, and beaches around the world.
